Renowned Malayalam Actress and TV Anchor Subi Suresh Passes Away at 42

On Wednesday, Subi Suresh, a popular film actor, and television anchor passed away at the age of 42 while undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments at a private hospital in Kochi. Subi Suresh started her career as a comedian and made a name for herself through television programs. She was also an accomplished actor in the Malayalam film industry.

Her journey in the entertainment industry began with Cochin Kalabhavan, where she gained recognition as a stage comedy show performer. Subi Suresh became a household name in Kerala after hosting the popular Malayalam comedy show ‘Cinemala’ on Asianet. She later hosted the show ‘Kuttipattalam’ on Surya TV, aimed at entertaining children.

In 2006, Subi Suresh made her film debut in the movie ‘Kanaka Simhasanam’ directed by Rajasenan. She went on to act in several other films, including ‘Happy Husbands’ and ‘Elsamma Enna Aankutty’.

Born in Thripunithura, Ernakulam, Subi Suresh was an active participant in school and college events and competitions. She is survived by her parents and brother, and her death is a great loss to the Malayalam entertainment industry.
