This Editorial Policy explains the standards that guide everything we publish at Daily News Gallery. Our goal is to produce accurate, fair and genuinely useful journalism that readers can trust.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by our newsroom and are independent of advertisers, sponsors and commercial partners. Advertising and sponsored content, where present, are clearly distinguishable from editorial reporting.

Accuracy and verification

We strive to verify facts before publication. Every factual claim should trace to a credible source, an official statement or primary documentation. When information cannot be confirmed, we either omit it or clearly attribute it as reported or unconfirmed. If facts are limited, we publish a shorter, accurate story rather than padding it with speculation.

Sourcing and attribution

We attribute claims to their sources and link to primary material wherever possible. We do not fabricate quotes, people, statistics or institutions. Where sources conflict, we present the differing accounts and attribute each.

Responsible use of AI

We use research and drafting tools, including AI assistance, to help our journalists work faster. AI is never the final author. Every article is reviewed, edited and approved by a person who is responsible for its accuracy and fairness before it is published. We do not publish unreviewed, machine-generated content, and we apply the same accuracy and attribution standards to AI-assisted drafts as to any other copy.

Headlines

Headlines must be accurate and must reflect what the article actually delivers. We do not use misleading, clickbait or curiosity-gap headlines.

Bylines and authorship

Articles are attributed to named authors with profile pages. Our writers are accountable for their reporting.

Updates and corrections

News evolves. We update stories as new information emerges and we correct errors transparently. See our Corrections Policy.

Conflicts of interest

Our journalists avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any that could reasonably affect their reporting.
