Accuracy is central to our work, and we are committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. This policy explains how we handle mistakes and how you can help.

How to report an error

If you believe an article contains a factual error, email [email protected] with the link to the article, the specific statement you believe is wrong, and any evidence or source that supports the correction. The more specific your message, the faster we can act.

How we correct

When we confirm an error, we fix it as quickly as possible. For significant factual corrections, we add a note to the article explaining what was changed and when, so the record is clear. Minor typographical fixes that do not affect meaning may be made without a note.

Corrections, updates and clarifications

  • Correction — a factual error has been fixed.
  • Update — new information has been added to a developing story.
  • Clarification — wording has been improved to prevent misunderstanding, without a factual error.

Significant corrections

Where an error materially affected the substance of a story, the correction is noted prominently on the article. We do not quietly delete or rewrite published reporting to hide mistakes.

Our commitment

We treat correction requests seriously and review them in good faith. Reporting an error helps us serve our readers better, and we appreciate it.
