The holy month of Ramadan starts from Tuesday (May 7th) tomorrow. On Monday religious devotees will perform Tarabi prayers at the mosque. At the dawn, the first Roja will be welcomed by eating Sehir. The holy month of Ramadan is the ninth month, according to the Islamic calendar. This is the month of restraint. This month, Muslims worldwide celebrate fasting. Fasting in Ramadan is the third of five pillars of Islam. Muslims are celebrating Eid al-Fitr on the 1st of Shawwal’s month when the moon of Shawwal is seen at the end of Ramadan. The schedules of Sehari and iftar for different areas of Bangladesh were highlighted.
The information was given at the meeting of the National Moon-sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram’s meeting on Monday (May 6th) at 7 pm. It is reported in the meeting that the moon of the holy month of Ramadan in the sky of 1440 Hijri is seen in Bangladesh. Accordingly, the month of Ramadan will start counting on Tuesday (May 7th). Tarabi prayers are starting from tonight. Today, religiously adult Muslims keep their fast while eating Sehari.
