Railway Official: Five bogies of Upaban Express train, coming from Sylhet, veered off the tracks around 11:40 pm after a culvert over the Barochhara Canal broke down. On this Train Crush (Sylhet Train Accident), at least five people were killed and over 150 injured – Police.
Fire Service of Bangladesh informed that Upaban Express’ train from Sylhet veered off the tracks after a culvert over the Barochhara Canal, 200 yards off Baramchal Railway Station.
During the Crash time, Two of the bogies fell into the canal and one of them overturned, while the other bogies remained tilted. 11 units were working on the Sylhet Train Accident – Border Guard Bangladesh personnel. People from the different stage also worked with the Fire Service, Police, and other Units.
Till now, The accident also snapped Sylhet’s rail communications with other parts of the country, including the capital. The Authority is trying to clear everything to continue the Railway Service to the Dhaka – Sylhet – Dhaka Route.
